Matured in three-year-old barrels from Haut Brion (Pessac Leognan). Black cherry and plum fruit characters are animated by spice, star anise, violets and rose petals, the long savoury, textured palate is beautifully balance by the integrated oak and natural tannins.

Notes: Outstanding vintage from old vine Gamay, which merited maturation in the best to underpin the extraordinary complex fruit structure. We were fortunate to acquire some three-year-old barrels from Haut Brion (Pessac Leognan).
